We're building the platform that pet and baby caregivers actually deserve — one where their work is valued, their pay is fair, and families can trust who walks through their door.
India has millions of families who need trusted pet sitters, dog walkers, babysitters, and nannies. And millions of caregivers with the skills and love to provide it. The gap between them isn't a lack of supply — it's a broken market.
Most platforms take 25–40% from caregivers. Families pay opaque fees. No one trusts anyone. CareNest exists to fix that: transparent pricing, 85–90% caregiver take-rate, Aadhaar-verified caregivers, and UPI-native payments from day one.
We're inspired by the Urban Company model — high-quality service providers, strong vetting, and a platform that earns trust before it earns revenue. But we're building it for care, not beauty or repairs. And we're building it for India.
Right now, finding a babysitter or dog walker in Bengaluru means a WhatsApp group, a building notice board, or a referral from a neighbour. It works — until it doesn't. The caregiver has no reviews, you have no recourse, and no one agreed on the rate upfront.
At the same time, the caregivers who do this work — often women, often in their own neighbourhoods — earn a fraction of what they'd make on a Western platform. And they do it without insurance, without verified clients, and without protections.
The market is fragmented. The trust layer is missing. And the value distribution is deeply unfair. That's the problem CareNest solves.
We're not localising a Western product. We're building from scratch for Indian families and caregivers.
UPI payments — not card-first. Because 400 million Indians use UPI daily and nobody wants to add a credit card for a dog walk. Aadhaar-based identity verification — not a passport scan. Because Aadhaar is how India verifies identity. Pin code matching — not geolocation tracking. Because Indian families think in neighbourhoods, not GPS coordinates.
Launching first in Bengaluru and Mumbai — the cities with the highest concentration of urban nuclear families, working parents, and pet ownership growth. Then Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai.
"The people who care for our children and pets are among the most trusted people in our lives. They deserve a platform that treats them that way."
85–90% take-rate isn't a marketing number. It's a commitment. We succeed when caregivers earn a living wage — not when we extract margin from their labour.
Aadhaar verification, criminal checks, and reference calls before a single booking. Reviews are the signal; verification is the baseline.
UPI first. Pin code matching. Aadhaar identity. Hindi and regional language support coming. We design for how India works, not how California works.
The best care relationships last years. We're building a platform for repeat bookings, trusted long-term caregivers, and families who stop worrying about coverage.
The on-demand model works for care — but only if trust is baked in from the start. Uber-style speed and convenience, Urban Company–level caregiver vetting and ratings. That's the combination we're building.
For families: one app, four services, same day. Transparent pricing, verified caregivers, GPS tracking, UPI payment. No surprises.
For caregivers: consistent bookings, fair pay, instant UPI payouts, real reviews that build a reputation. A platform that works for them, not just from them.
We're not the gig economy as it currently exists in India — with 20–35% platform cuts and zero caregiver protections. We're what it should be.
